Senior guards Danielle Corbett and Maggie Wilson scored 23 and 20 points respectively, to lead the Lady Knights in the opener of the Bill Keightley HoopFest at South Laurel High School. Shaneque McGhee added six points and grabbed 15 rebounds. Caitie Jackson led the Lady Jaguars with 26 points; Kayla Bargo added 13.
CLAY COUNTY 68, CALLOWAY COUNTY 66
Freshman point guard Alisha Mitchell scored 19 points and dished out three assists to lead the Lady Tigers. Junior Jordan Phillips scored 16 points; Sophomore Whitney Belle Jackson had 12 points and nine rebounds and junior Danielle Fox added 11 points. Freshman Karlee Wilson sank seven of 13 three-point attempts and finished with 22 points to lead the Lakers. Kayla Cunningham and Averee Fields added 20 and 13 points, respectively. Fields also had 13 rebounds.
SOUTH LAUREL 59, MARSHALL COUNTY 47
Jessica Dean (5’3” Jr.) scored 23 points and Porsha Justice added 14 to lead the Lady Cardinals. South made nine of 14 three pointers in the game while Marshall managed just one of nine successful tries from beyond the arc. Jessica Holder led the Lady Marshals with 19 points and 11 rebounds; Jordan Gilland added 10 points and four steals.
NORTH LAUREL 59, MARSHALL COUNTY 45
Derek Couch made eight of 13 shots, including two of four three-pointers and scored 18 points to lead the Jaguars to the upset win. Raymond Shears added 17 points and Josh Seidell tossed in 14. Josh Madding led the Marshals with 17 points; Scott McKenty added 11 points.

MARSHALL COUNTY BILL KEIGHTLEY HOOPFEST SCORES
Holder’s 25 points sends Marshall past Obion County (TN) 68-50
Jessica Holder (6’1” Sr.) scored 25 points and host Marshall County (KY) earned the surprisingly easy win. Hannah Ellis and Lena Bohannon scored 10 points each for the Coach Howard Beth’s squad. The Lady Rebels’ Chassidy Fussell (5’10” Jr.) scored all but three of her team-high 17 in the second half.
Sheldon leads Harrisburg (IL) over Calloway 71-62
Cain Sheldon (6’1” Jr.) poured in 24 points to lead the Harrisburg. Roby Boatright (6’0” Sr.) added 12 for the winners. Brock Simmons (6’2” Soph.) and Justin Hill (5’11” Jr.) led the Lakers with 17 and 15 points, respectively.
Masaac (IL) downs Graves County (KY) 63-49
Corey Ayala (6’1” soph.) scored 16 and Byron Bailey (6’4” Sr.) added 14 to lead the winning Patriots. Tevin Hill (5’10” Sr.), Cassidy McAlpin (6’3 ½” Sr.) and Josh Doggett (6’1” Sr.) paced the Eagles with nine points each.
Marshall County (KY) edges Obion County (TN) 67-65
Scott McKenty scored a game-best 25 to lead the host Marshals. Blake Clark (5’10” Soph.) added 15 and Denver Seay (6’3” Sr.) added 11. The Rebels were paced by 5’11” senior Brandon Smith and 6’2” senior Nick Gilliam with 16 and 14 points, respectively.
